Corporate Vampire

This is another illustration for a roleplaying game. He's a corporate vampire. This is a vector, done in Adobe Illustrator. I probably should have drawn this out of my head, but I photo referenced it from a picture of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau because I had some technical things inside Illustrator that I wanted to try. Specifically, I wanted to try to recreate a duo shade effect. In the bad old days of mechanical halftones, duo shade papers were a drawing paper that had two opposing sets of lines that were revealed if you painted the proper developer on it. You could gets some pretty cool effects with it. Look at some old Captain Easy cartoons by Roy Crane to see what I mean. I recreated this with a couple of opacity masks. It was a fun challenge. Since this is intended for print, I'm down with the graphic design-y-ness of it.
