My day job used to be institutional illustration and graphic design for a major university. Now I'm on my own. Freelance is the word, but I think I prefer "art mercenary," instead.
My preferred medium for digital art is Adobe Illustrator, mainly for practical reasons, but also because I've been using it since 1993. I'm comfortable with it and set in my ways.
Otherwise, I live in ink. Usually with a crowquill, but lately, I've been using markers and brushes. It's been an adjustment. I also love watercolor, but there isn't any of that in my gallery because my watercolors tend to be too big for my scanning bed and my camera is terrible.
